This month has been pretty busy here with the end of the school year for my kids and setting up some festivals to attend this summer near Topeka. More details on those as they get closer. If you’re in the neighborhood, come say hi!

Writing Updates

I’ve got two writing projects I’m working on right now. The third Torin Keth book has been front and center. I’m trying to get that written and printed by the middle to end of June so I can have copies of it at the festivals this summer.

The third Realm Wars book is sort of on hold while I finish the Torin Keth book, but it’s still percolating in my mind, and every so often, I go scribble down some ideas or a few words so I don’t forget them.

It’s a daunting project, to try and pull together so many threads that I’ve woven over the previous two books, and I worry that I’m in over my head. But David Bowie once said that went you feel like you’re just out of your depth, that’s where the magic happens. I hope he’s right.

New Illustrations for the Hardcover of Champion of the Kashmari!

While I’m working on those two projects (unfortunately, I can’t write all the time because my brain will explode), I’ve decided to start working on the hardcover version for Champion of the Kashmari. I’m planning on having it printed through IngramSpark in order to get a lovely dust jacket for it. For some reason, Amazon’s hardcovers are only case laminate.

In addition, I’m illustrating some of the critters from the book! Any guesses who or what this is? Hint: she’s inseparable from Cadmus Brand.
