This is a fanfiction story based off of the events of the Star Wars: The Bad Batch cartoon featuring the clones of Clone Force 99. It takes place after the events of Season 3 of The Bad Batch.

This is a “Tech Lives” and “CX-2 is Tech” sort of story. When I finished watching the show, I actually appreciated how the writers let Tech stay dead. In Star Wars, that’s a rare thing. Many characters “die” only to be resurrected later. The reason I decided to write this fanfiction, though, is because I wasn’t quite done with the Bad Batch. I loved the characters and wanted more, and a common fan theory that CX-2 was actually a brainwashed Tech seemed like an interesting avenue to explore in a fanfiction.
This story follows Tech (or CX-2, as he believes himself to be) as he navigates life in the Empire and slowly figures out who he used to be-and what he decides to do about it once he figures it out. You can also find this story on Archive of Our Own and FanFiction.net.
