Flavors Far-Flung, Ep. 8
Detective Jol Solas of the Intergalactic Police Force here with your updates on the search for Faelan Wo. Good news: We’ve had a breakthrough in the case. One of the thugs who fought with the crew of the freighter Jukular was found in a nearby hospital being treated for blaster fire wounds. Through my careful questioning, he admitted to the crime and gave us the name of the gang. Unfortunately, I am not at liberty to foreclose that name at present. We tracked the gang down to one of their most-used hideouts. Unfortunately, they had vacated the premises mere moments before. One of them had even left a jefu-cake in the oven, which had caught fire and filled the apartment with smoke, perhaps by design.
There were signs that a Civret was being held captive in one of the back rooms. Claw-marks, tufts of fur, and a small pool of blood. The blood was not—I repeat—the blood was NOT a positive match for Faelan. If I were to guess, I’d say she’s still causing them plenty of trouble. I wouldn’t be surprised to find them only for Faelan to walk out with the gang in handcuffs, wondering where we’ve been.
I am confident that forensics will find some further clue that can help us discover the gang’s whereabouts.

As per the editor’s request, I have a new recipe for you. Like the last recipe, it’s not fancy, but it’s tasty. I grew up eating a lot of rough grains, so this treat uses leftover rough grains, either from dinner or the night before.
