Website Revamp

What do you get when you cross a writer and a deadline? A very clean house, or in my case, a revamped website, complete with poetry dug up from years ago. I also have several chapters of Muspell’s Sons up, though it’s taking me a bit longer to post than I was expecting. You can find both on the main menu under “Online Library” or you can click here: Muspell’s Sons and Poetry. Enjoy!

Draft Progress

10 more days until I let beta readers rip into my book! I’m still on schedule to finish this draft on time, even if that means I might have a few sleepless nights next week. I really only have one larger section and a couple short sections to work on, and I already have them plotted out. It’s just a matter of typing out what I’ve got in my head.

There are two wonderful things about deadlines for a self-published author: 1) if I truly can’t make the deadline, I don’t have to obey it, especially if it’s because of something outside my control like illness. And 2) I like the time limitation because it forces me to plan ahead and do a little each day to get it done in time. If I don’t work on my books a little every day, there’s no way they get done.

Having a deadline has really helped me push through the last stages of writing this draft. Now that I’m close to finishing, I’m super excited to finish because of how long I’ve been working on it. It’s also nerve-wracking knowing that other human beings will be reading it.

Anyways, off to writing I go!
